So since my forum is nearly its first birthday (bout 4 months away) I need time to make a great month to celebrate! I have a few ideas. Though I have a couple of problems.


1) I want to have a version of a lottery for Moon’s Companion but I don’t know how to hold one on a forum. Does anyone have any ideas of how to make that work?


2) Since it is Moon’s Companion’s first birthday, I would like to have a couple of games and competition’s. Possibly some IC and OOC games/competitions. Though I'm not sure what...I have never done this before and I want it to be a fun month!

1) I think a lottery would be fairly easy.

Just have them pick numbers or a number and have a post with a list of what your members pick then just draw a number and announce the winner.

You can to to Random.org where they will pick the number for you. They even have a widget you can place on your forum so that people can use it to pick their number.

2) For competitions, you could have one for the most posts that month.
I don't know what you mean by IC or OOC.

IC means In character games/competitions

OOC means out of character games/competitions

Like Dusty said really not much more one can do for competition except lotteries, most post, most active etc. Winner can get a VIP membership for a month or how ever you want to make it and give them a little more access then regular members or a cool rank or something.

As for games, i wouldn't know as i don't have them or hold them at my site.

You would really need to sit down and think of a way to hold a competiton, make sure it runs the way you want it. You might also use other sources such as Facebook or something like that.
